How to take ski equipment to Kamchatka?
When planning a winter trip to Kamchatka, the question immediately arises, is it possible to carry out equipment for free, or do you need to pay extra for it?
Aeroflot and S7 have recently changed the rules, so we have collected information relevant for November 2020 on airlines flying on direct routes to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Aeroflot, Aurora
At the moment, there is no promotion in airlines that allows you to bring ski equipment for free. You either take the case as one piece of luggage, or pay extra for an extra seat. We advise you to do this in advance through your personal account, so it will be cheaper than during the check-in process directly at the airport.
S7 Airlines
There are also changes here, because now when buying an Economy Basic fare ticket (hand luggage only), free transportation of ski equipment is not included. In all other tariffs — included.
Pegas Fly
Free transportation of ski equipment is possible from November 1 to April 15, for tickets purchased from October 9 (exception: Light Economy fare).
We strongly recommend that before buying tickets, you further clarify the information with the airline you are going to fly. The rules are constantly changing, so take the time not to swear with the airline staff at the check-in desk.
