Three Brothers Rocks
This is a business card of Kamchatka and a natural monument of regional significance. The rocks are located at the entrance to the Avacha Bay. According to legend, it was three brothers who protected the bay from a big wave from the ocean. Having protected the bay from the waves, they petrified and now stand guarding it from dangers. Although the rocks can be seen from the land, if you come to Cape Mayachny, there is an opportunity to see them near only from the water. The rocks themselves are picturesque and you can always see sea birds on their walls.
Grottoes and caves of Tikhaya Bay
On the opposite side of the Avacha Bay from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is a small bay Quiet. It is not for nothing that it got such a name — even when a strong wind blows on the sea, it is quiet here and there are no strong waters. Also, the bay is famous for a large number of sea grottoes — there are also very small ones, and through ones through which you can pass through the rock. With this type of activity, it is necessary to wear a helmet for safety purposes. And, of course, there are many representatives of the marine fauna of Kamchatka. Gulls, cormorants, hatchets and chistiki, sometimes you can even see eagles.
Observation of marine mammals
After the sea lion rookery was closed to tourists in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the only way to see them was left — only with water. For example, on Cape Kekurny.
In Russian Bay there is a seal rookery, which can be approached by sea kayaks. The bay itself can be reached in a few hours by catamaran or yacht.
But it must be remembered that there is a restriction under which it is necessary to keep the distance to marine mammals not less than 200 meters for their safety. But this is quite enough to feel unity with the sea world of Kamchatka.
Watching bears
Although in summer bears can be found in Kamchatka on almost all land programs, but there are habitats where bears come to feed and the probability of seeing them is much greater.
There are large fields on the shores of Lake Tolmacheva, on which shiksha and blueberry berries grow, bears like to feed on them. They come here both alone and in families when the bears bring their cubs. An amazing picture, which is interesting to watch from the water while sitting in a sea kayak.
You can also go on a multi-day expedition on sea kayaks along the southeastern coast of the peninsula, but this already requires good physical fitness and specific training.
The most frequently asked question about sea kayaking is "Do I need a wetsuit?". Of course, the answer is "No". A wetsuit is necessary if you plan to dive under water, which will not be on such programs. The kayak is stable and you will be able to roll over with a small probability.
