from basic to advanced. This specially designed tour is intended primarily for those who are tring sea kayaking for the first time and would like to gradually improve their skills. The tour will however also be of interest to those who would like to see Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, as sea captains for example, from the shore.
Length of the route: 5.5 km.
Departures daily at 9:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00 (subject to weather conditions).
Along the way, we have a light snack right on the water — tea, coffee, snacks.
Each group participant is provided with a life jacket, kayak, spray skirt and a paddle.

Program
We start on the central embankment of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, where an experienced guide will explain the working of a sea kayak and safety rules. After a short briefing, you will have a practical session on getting into and manoeuvring a kayak. We will then have mini-hike along the Nikolskaya Sopka, called by locals the Sopka of Love, and which has become a shield that protected Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky from the British and French squadrons in 1854. Now it firmly protects the Petropavlovskaya Harbour from the winds. It is a favourite hiking spot among locals. Our guides will be happy to tell you about the memorials up on the hill that remind us of milestones in the history of the city. Having paddled to Cape Signalny, we will have a light snack right on the water and will then head back.

What if my tour has been cancelled?
Payment is made after your application has been confirmed by our manager. Tour cancellation / refund policy:
• If a tour has been cancelled due to weather conditions or technical reasons — 100% refund;
• If a tour has been cancelled at the customer’s request 3 days or less before the tour start date — 40% refund;
• If a tour has been cancelled by the customer less than 1 day before the tour start date — no refund.
