Kozelsky Volcano (2,189 m) is located approximately 25 km away from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Our road here is partly gravel and the ascent will be along the slag and a primer covered trail.
Our goal is a summer ski base, located about 1,000 m above sea level, that we will be cycling down from. Depending on the skills of the group participants, we can cycle down along the same road we drove up by car, or we can opt for freeride through slag fields.
After each descent, we will driven by car to the starting point. Hiking up to the start of the cycling route, that we will be driven to, is also possible.
Elevation difference: 700 m.
Number of descents: 4-6, depending on the physical share of the group participants.
Average duration: 6 hours.
Date: end of June — mid-October.
Group: min. 4 people.
